Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 12-24 available
Call Requirements: No call
Unit: Behavioral Health
Number of Beds: 72
Patient Ratios: 1:12
Patient Population: Adults and adolescents
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Psychosis, mood disorders, voluntary and involuntary legal status patients, military veterans and first responders, detox, behavioral health unit
Equipment Used: Code Cart, Pyxis, EKG, Vitals Machine, Glucometer
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
CPI or HWC certification

Additional Information

No float requirements
Dress code: Royal Blue or Navy Blue scrubs, closed-toe shoes
Personality fit: Team player, flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment, strong de-escalation skills, kind, hard worker, fast learner, diligent with medication administration
