Interventional / Cardiac / Vascular
Shift Details
- Day shifts with varied start times
- 8 or 10-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week
- Call required:
- 1–2 days per week
- Approximately every 2–3 weekends
- Includes holidays
- Required participation in call rotation

- EMR: Meditech
- Monitoring System: Sensis
- Equipment: Siemens
Team Structure
- 4-person call team
- 2 lab setup
Procedures Performed
- Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Vascular procedures
- Cardiac Cath procedures
Clinical Responsibilities
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiology
- Cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures
- Understanding of:
- CT (Computed Tomography)
- MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- Ultrasound
- Nuclear Medicine
Specialized Skills
- Assists with:
- Angiography procedures
- Cardiac catheterization procedures
- Pacemaker insertions
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) insertion
- Applies skills in hemodynamic monitoring
- Maintains working knowledge of radiology equipment and image processing
Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Interventional Cath Lab
Certification Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
