The Job Description:Position / Specialty: MICU Start date: 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier Ratios: 1:2 Years of experience REQ: 1.5 years ICU experience required. Prefer 1.5 years MICU. If less than 2 years Level I experience is required **MUST have exp. in a 20 bed ICU** First-timers accepted: Y/N: Yes Weekend REQ: every other Certs REQ: ACLS BCLS Is on-call REQ? Position Overview

• Shift: Night – 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Start Date: 3–4 weeks (based on compliance)
• Unit: MICU
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
  
  
  Required Experience
• Minimum 1.5 years ICU experience (required)
• MICU experience preferred
• If less than 2 years ICU experience → Level I Trauma experience required
• Must have worked in a minimum 20-bed ICU
• First-time travelers accepted

• Required Certifications

• BCLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  
  Mandatory Skills & Competencies
• Dysrhythmia interpretation (Relias EKG exam required – must pass)
• Ventilator management
• Pressor and critical drip management
• Phlebotomy and bedside procedures

• Preferred Skills (Highly Desired)

• CRRT / CVVHD
• Swan-Ganz catheter experience
• Inhaled & IV Flolan
• Proning
• Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP) – Level 1 rapid transfuser
  
  Scheduling & Work Expectations
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes (within ICU service line)
• On-Call: Not required
• Block Scheduling: Not available
