Job Overview
We are seeking a experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week travel assignment. This is a great opportunity to work in a specialized unit performing advanced GI and pulmonary procedures using modern equipment and technology in a collaborative team environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Monday–Friday (schedule may vary between 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM based on assignment)
- No weekend requirement mentioned
Assignment Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 4 positions available
- Unit: Endoscopy (2 procedure suites)
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate during endoscopic procedures
- Provide pre-op and post-anesthesia (PACU) patient care
- Assist with advanced GI and pulmonary procedures
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff
Procedures Performed
- Colonoscopy & EGD
- ERCP & EUS
- Bronchoscopy & EBUS
- Robotic bronchoscopy (ION)
- PillCam, Bravo, and other diagnostic procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience
- Strong experience with advanced procedures (ERCP & EUS required)
- Ability to circulate and assist in procedures
Important Requirement:
- Full SSN is required at the time of submission.
- Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a permanent address more than 50 miles from the facility.
Preferred / Advanced Skills
- Experience with robotic bronchoscopy (ION)
- EBUS procedures
- Experience across multiple endoscopy techniques
Unit & Facility Details
- 2 Endoscopy suites
- Patient ratios:
- 1:1 (circulator)
- PACU: up to 1:2
- Pre-op: 1:1 to 1:3
- Equipment: Olympus scopes, OER Elite washer, ION robot
- Documentation systems: Meditech Expanse & Provation
- Team includes circulator RN, tech, and dedicated scope washer
Additional Information
- Floating required to ASC and nearby facilities as needed
- Hospital-provided scrubs
- Daily team huddles before shift start
