Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Dialysis to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer dialysis treatments accurately and safely, adhering to established protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, fluid balance, and physiological responses throughout dialysis sessions.
- Assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures to identify any adverse reactions or complications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nephrologists, physicians, and technicians to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, post-treatment care, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Experience
- Proven nursing experience in dialysis settings. Prefer to have both acute and chronic dialysis experience (inpatient and outpatient) but will accept either experience.
- AHA BLS, ACLS and New York State License is required.
