Laboratory Director (Clinical Lab) – Permanent Position
📍 Junction, Texas
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Laboratory Director to lead a clinical laboratory team in Junction, TX. This is a unique opportunity for a working manager who is passionate about both leadership and performing bench work.
Position Overview
- Job Title: Laboratory Director
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Schedule: Full-time (8-hour day shifts)
- Shift Options:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-Call: Rotating weekend call required
- Flexibility: Must be adaptable with working hours as needed
Compensation
- Salary: Starting at $80,000 annually (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory
- Lead, supervise, and support laboratory staff
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards
- Perform routine laboratory testing as needed (MT/MLT duties)
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency across all lab processes
- Manage workflow, scheduling, and staffing needs
Team Structure
- 3 Full-Time Laboratory Technologists
- 1 PRN Staff Member
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a clinical laboratory leadership role
- Strong background in Blood Bank (required)
- MT/MLT experience with ability to perform bench work
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
