Laboratory Director (Clinical Lab) – Permanent Position

📍 Junction, Texas

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Laboratory Director to lead a clinical laboratory team in Junction, TX. This is a unique opportunity for a working manager who is passionate about both leadership and performing bench work.

Position Overview

• Job Title: Laboratory Director
• Employment Type: Permanent
• Schedule: Full-time (8-hour day shifts)
• Shift Options:
  • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-Call: Rotating weekend call required
• Flexibility: Must be adaptable with working hours as needed

Compensation

• Salary: Starting at $80,000 annually (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory
• Lead, supervise, and support laboratory staff
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards
• Perform routine laboratory testing as needed (MT/MLT duties)
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency across all lab processes
• Manage workflow, scheduling, and staffing needs

Team Structure

• 3 Full-Time Laboratory Technologists
• 1 PRN Staff Member

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a clinical laboratory leadership role
• Strong background in Blood Bank (required)
• MT/MLT experience with ability to perform bench work
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
