Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician to support oral surgery procedures in a dental ambulatory OR/procedure room. This role involves providing direct chair-side assistance to surgical residents and attending physicians while ensuring a sterile, efficient clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide four-handed chair-side assistance during oral surgical procedures
- Escort and prepare patients; review charts for completeness and accuracy
- Set up and maintain sterile surgical environments, instruments, and trays
- Monitor patient vitals, assist with suctioning, instruments, and medications
- Take radiographs as needed before, during, or after procedures
- Clean, disinfect, and break down operatory rooms post-procedure
- Manage inventory, restock supplies, and assist with ordering
- Respond effectively in emergency situations
Requirements
✔ Certified Surgical Technician or Dental Assistant Certification
✔ BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
✔ Minimum 3 years experience (5 years preferred)
✔ Strong organizational and communication skills
✔ Experience in oral surgery, dental OR, or ambulatory surgical settings
