Pride Health is hiring a Senior Blood Bank Laboratory Specialist to support our client’s medical facility based in Evansville, IN 47714. This is a 5-6 months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Duration : 05-06 months Contract/ Likely to convert to FT based on performance
Shift : Start time is flexible Monday - Friday, No holidays or weekends
Payrate : $52-57/hr. on W2/ *Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the Transfusion Medicine processes within the hospital labs. Develop training and competency programs for Transfusion Medicine hospital based labs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drives and leads Transfusion Medicine projects
• Works with Quest Quality Assurance team to utilize quality tools and insure readiness for any regulatory inspections
• Oversees the FDA Reportables and submissions
• Drives Standardization across the system in Transfusion Medicine
• Oversight of collaborative team incorporating thought leaders from Quest and applicable hospitals
• Develop transfusion medicine productivity standards, quality measures, and best practices
• Evaluation of instrumentation, reagent systems to drive standardization
• Works with Quest BPT Leader to provide ROI, service requirements and implementation tools for recommended instrumentation
• Creates and executes standard Blood Bank SOPS, tools and metrics
• Serves on hospital subcommittees as needed
Job Qualifications:
Physical activities include frequent walking, sitting, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting and squatting.
The ability to lift up to 30 lbs. in weight to a height of 5 feet and carrying moderately light loads for a distance of 50 feet.
Color vision is required for accuracy in work.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology required
- ASCP Certification required
- Three to six (3 - 6) years of pertinent, full-time laboratory experience in a Core laboratory. Advanced education will be counted towards years of experience
