On-Site | 3pm - 11pm
Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

- On-call rotation required
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Blood Bank Medical Technologist to join a high-performing laboratory team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely blood bank testing to support patient care. Ideal candidates have strong experience in transfusion services and are comfortable working independently on night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability per established criteria
- Perform routine and complex blood bank testing following SOPs
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot lab instrumentation
- Make independent technical decisions and resolve testing issues
- Prepare and validate reagents, controls, and test systems
- Report accurate, timely results to support patient care
- Perform quality control and preventative maintenance
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and restock as needed
- Assist with specimen processing when required
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of clinical lab experience OR MLS degree
- Blood Bank / Transfusion Services experience preferred
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working independently on nights
- Familiarity with LIS systems is a plus
- Must pass color vision screening
- COVID-19 vaccination required (or approved exemption)
