Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity cardiovascular critical care team. This role focuses on managing complex cardiac patients, including cardiogenic shock and advanced hemodynamic cases in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• 3–4 weekend shifts required per schedule period
• Floating required based on unit census and hospital needs
• 4-week scheduling blocks 

Assignment Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Unit: CCU (Cardiac Care Unit)
• Bed capacity: 32 beds (including 12-bed cardiogenic shock program area)
• Patient ratio: 2:1
• EMR: Meditech 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intensive care for high-acuity cardiac patients
• Manage cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and post-cardiac procedure patients
• Monitor and titrate critical cardiac medications and drips
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and interpret invasive lines
• Assist with procedures including central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and intubations
• Respond to rapid changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary cardiac teams 

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CCU experience
• Strong cardiac critical care experience (REQUIRED)
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA is required
• Experience with telemetry and invasive monitoring

⚠️ Important Requirements

• Full SSN is required at the time of submission
• Local candidates are not eligible (must have a permanent address more than 50 miles from the facility)

• Hemodynamic monitoring
• PA catheter (Swan-Ganz) management
• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
• Impella support (preferred)
• CRRT (preferred)
• Central line management
• Ventilator and intubation support
