Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR RN)

We are seeking an experienced Travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in a high-volume, Level 1 trauma academic medical center. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in complex surgical environments and is comfortable working across a wide range of specialties.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
• Schedule: 3x12s (Night Shift)
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Setting: Level 1 Trauma / Academic Medical Center

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
• Circulate and assist during a wide range of procedures including trauma, neuro, ortho, general, and robotic cases
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document all patient care accurately in the EMR
• Adapt quickly to different surgical teams and case types

Requirements

• Active RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of OR experience required
• Experience with a wide variety of surgical cases required
• Experience in trauma or high-acuity settings preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Strong adaptability and clinical confidence required

Additional Details

• Night shift schedule (3x12s)
• Weekend coverage required (approximately 3 weekends per contract)
• Call required (overnight and weekend rotation)
• Floating required within the health system as needed
