Rehab Registered Nurse
Travel or local position
Location: Pueblo of Acoma, NM 87034-0317
Pay Rate: $52 plus $1,246 weekly travel stipends (if applicable)
Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Excluding Federal Holidays
Contract Length: 1 year with the option to extend
Benefits: $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare, 10 days PTO, Accrued sick days, and 11 Paid Holidays.
Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Rehab Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in an IHS facility. This role focuses on recovery, continuity of care, and improving patient outcomes in a structured outpatient setting.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory throughout the term of the contract.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Support pre-admission planning and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor patient progress and quickly identify/report changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on recovery plans and self-care strategies
- Advocate for patients while respecting cultural, spiritual, and individual needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR
- Assist with procedures and coordinate diagnostic services
- Respond to emergencies and ensure patient safety at all times
- Promote continuity of care through effective communication with providers and staff
