Position Overview:

• Adapt curriculum to meet the diverse academic and functional needs of students with various disabilities, leading either Resource, Co-Taught, or Self-Contained classrooms across K-12 settings.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for caseloads ranging from 12 to 33 students.
• Supervise assistants and implement specialized behavioral or moderate-needs strategies.
• Partner with general education teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate inclusive practices and monitor student progress toward annual goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid South Carolina Certification in Multi-Categorical (ED, MD, EMD, or TMD/Severe also accepted)
• Prior experience working with school-aged students (Preferred)
