Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology 

• Location: Chicago, Illinois
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Mid-shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM); no block scheduling
• Rotating on-call requirements, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Occasional weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in Interventional Radiology and Pain Management settings
• Assist with vascular and interventional procedures such as angioplasty, angiography, and carotid stenting
• Monitor and manage patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
• Perform sheath removal and manage vascular closure devices (e.g., Perclose, StarClose)
• Assess and manage cardiac rhythms, including dysrhythmia interpretation
• Utilize sedation scales (RASS) and ensure patient safety during procedures
• Implement pressure ulcer prevention and patient safety protocols
• Adhere to radiation and laser safety standards
• Document patient care using Cerner charting system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Pain Management
• ICU experience preferred
• Active RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
