Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

• Location: Belleville, Illinois
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with rotating day off
• On-call requirement: Approx. 10 shifts/month (including evenings, weekends, and holidays)
• Weekend call coverage required approximately every 4–5 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in a Cardiac Cath Lab and interventional cardiac setting
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures including PCI, stent placement, and catheterizations
• Support advanced procedures such as TAVR, Impella, IABP, TEE, and electrophysiology studies
• Monitor and manage patients during procedural sedation and cardiac interventions
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
• Perform sheath removal and manage vascular closure devices (Perclose, StarClose)
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead ECGs and monitor ACT levels
• Administer cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, and thrombolytics
• Maintain IV access and provide peri-procedural patient care
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Document patient care using Epic charting system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Active RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Experience with radial access and TR band management preferred
• Experience with IFR/IVUS (Volcano system) strongly preferred
