Description

Unit: ICU - # beds: 20 beds - Certs: ACLS. BLS, NIH - Ratios: 1 to 1-2 - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: Yes - they do not take a patient assignment - Nurse Aides: No - Weekend Requirement: very other - Holidays: they will work them in with perm staff rotation - Scrub Color: navy - Tele/Monitor Techs: Phillips - they will have a monitor tech if above a certain census, nurses are required to read and interpret tele strips - Drips: Norepinephrine, precadex, epinephrine, vasopressin, etc. - Vents: Puritan Bennette 840 - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Intensivist is on 24/7 - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 12 hr shifts, 7-7, self scheduling used but not always guaranteed - Floating: They will have to float to AG to work ICU - Floor specific orientation: 1 shift - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: neuro trauma, cardiac - surgical, open heart, post cath, aortic dissection, fem pops, thoracotomies, CRRT. Etc. - Additional Notes: Must have 2 years experience in ICU, previous travel experience is preferred
