Travel Registered Nurse – Oncology / MedSurg RN

We are seeking an experienced Travel RN for a 13-week assignment supporting an inpatient oncology unit with MedSurg overflow. This role is ideal for a nurse who is comfortable managing oncology patients while also supporting general medical-surgical care in a collaborative hospital setting.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse – Oncology / MedSurg
• Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s available (48 hours)
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Day Shift)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (extensions available)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 36–48 hours per week
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital (Inpatient Oncology Unit)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to oncology and MedSurg patients
• Administer medications including chemotherapy (if certified) and supportive therapies
• Manage IV access, ports, and central lines
• Monitor patients for treatment side effects and complications
• Administer blood products and supportive infusions
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and symptom management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including oncology specialists
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

Requirements

• Active RN license (must be in hand or pending)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Experience with IV starts and infusion therapy required
• ONS/ONCC chemo certification preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills

• Day shift schedule (3x12s or 4x12s)
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
