Description

Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): MRI Technologist
Specialty: Interventional Radiology, also serving ER/OP
Shift: Evenings, 5x8 3pm - 11:30pm M-F w/call

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Rotating call – could be 2 -3 days per week including the weekend

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Call Requirements: As required by facility

Required Licensure: ARRT
Required Certifications: BLS

Preferred Certifications: MRI Registry
Years of Experience: 2 years plus
• Float Requirements: none

 

Equipment: GE 1.5 and GE 3T, we use Visage as our PACS system
EMR: EPIC

 

Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety.

 

Education: Successful completion of an accredited Radiography program.

Certifications: A.R.R.T. registered upon hire. Must obtain advanced A.R.R.T. registry in MRI within 1 year of hire.

Other: The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below, plus:

 

Minimal: Push/pull up to 46 lbs of force, carrying 25 lbs, gripping up to 50 lbs, pinch grip 6#, climbing 8-10 inch step

 

Occasional: reaching forward and bending for up to 5 minutes continuous, balance

 

Frequent: hand coordination
