PACU Registered Nurse (RN) - Redmond, WA ***Open to local AND non-local candidates***

OVERVIEW
- Schedule: Full time, Mon-Fri, no weekends/call/holidays ***Hours vary M-F, could start at 0615am and go until 630pm, either 8 or 10 hour shifts***
- Experience: 2 years of experience in Ambulatory/Outpatient, Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Pre-Post
- First-timers accepted: No
- Weekend REQ: No

- Professional Knowledge and Skills REQ:
----------Surgery Cases: Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Gyn, Ortho
----------IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Starting and maintaining IVs
----------Medications: Emergency Medications, Narcotics/Opioid Analgesics, Reversal agents
----------Types of Anesthesia: Conscious Sedation, General, Local, Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC), Nerve Blocks, Spinal
----------Pre/Post Op Care of the Patient: Discharge Instructions, Follow up phone calls, Medication reconciliation, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Obtain Operative/Procedural Consent, Pre/Post Endoscopy procedures, Pre/Post Operative procedures, Pre-op Assessment, Pre-op Education, Pre-Op Medications
----------Professional Topics and Skills: Interpretation and communication of lab values, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, Pain assessment & management

SPECIAL NOTES
- Patient Diagnoses: Based on Specialty, Just need someone for pre op and PACU phase 1 and 2, Does not need to circulate in the OR, Needs to have IV skills
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Endoscopy, Ortho, ENT (some plastics), Neuro ENT, Podiatry, General Surgery
- Special Equipment: Varies per specialty
