Registered Nurse – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

• Location: Jackson, Tennessee
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
• On-call requirement: 1 night per week (2:30 PM – 6:00 AM) and every 4th–5th weekend (48 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) as a circulating RN
• Assist in complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, and ECMO
• Support vascular and endovascular procedures such as aneurysm repair and carotid interventions
• Manage surgical cases including Impella, LVAD/RVAD, and thoracic/lung procedures
• Ensure adherence to sterile technique, infection control, and safety protocols
• Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and specimen labeling
• Administer blood and blood products as needed
• Respond to intraoperative emergencies and participate in code response
• Document patient care using Epic charting system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR circulating experience required
• Epic experience within the last 12 months (must be documented)
• Active RN license
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
• Experience with cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures required
• Robotics experience (Da Vinci system) preferred
• Travel experience preferred but not required
