Job Title: Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT)

Location: Red Lake, MN and Cass Lake, MN

Contract Length: 1 Year with extension options

Compensation
• $40 per hour taxed
• $60 per hour overtime
• $1,246 per week per diem
• $500 travel allowance
• $2,846 weekly gross based on 40 hours

Position Overview
Work in a federal Indian Health Service facility supporting laboratory operations. This role fills critical staffing gaps to maintain patient care services in a rural hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform specimen collection, processing, and testing
• Conduct lab work in microbiology, hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, and serology
• Maintain quality control and troubleshoot lab equipment
• Document and report test results accurately
• Perform phlebotomy as needed
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Support continuous quality improvement programs

Schedule
• 40 hours per week
• Variable shifts required
• Days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs

Requirements
• Active ASCP certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year clinical lab experience
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Strong knowledge of lab procedures and equipment
• Ability to pass federal background and credentialing
