Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR Circulator)

• Location: Kerrville, Texas
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM), Monday–Friday
• On-call requirement: Minimum 1 day per week and 1 weekend (3 days) per month

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a circulating RN in the main Operating Room
• Provide intraoperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
• Assist with procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, vascular, urology, ENT, gynecology, and more
• Maintain sterile environment and ensure adherence to infection control protocols
• Monitor patient status during procedures, including cardiac monitoring and safety checks
• Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and specimen labeling
• Administer blood products and support emergency situations (codes, malignant hyperthermia, etc.)
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure safe and efficient procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR circulating experience
• Active RN license
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• CNOR certification preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted with strong experience
