Position: RN-Endoscopy
Facility: Geneva General Hospital

Location: 196 North St, Geneva, NY 14456

Contract Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extension) 

Schedule: Days 3x12 hours (7:00am- 7:00 pm)

Weekly Hours: 36 hours
 

Role Summary:

The endoscopy registered nurse delivers high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families by applying clinical expertise, critical thinking, and effective communication. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The RN provides care across adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations, with a focus on supporting patients undergoing endoscopic procedures and related medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Deliver direct patient care, monitor progress, and adjust care plans as needed
• Advocate for patient safety, rights, and well-being
• Administer medications and perform clinical interventions safely
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards 

Patient & Family Education:

• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and lifestyle modifications
• Adapt teaching methods based on individual learning styles
• Reinforce key concepts and assess understanding 

Provide resources to support continued recovery at home
