Description
RN – Med Surg / Ortho | Nights & Days | Auto Offer
📍 Location: Council Bluffs, IA
🛏️ Unit: Med Surg / Ortho (28 beds + 22 overflow)
📅 Start: ASAP
🩺 Unit Details:
- Patient Ratio: 1:5 (RN)
- Support Staff: PCTs 1:10 + Charge Nurse (takes assignment)
- Common Cases:
- Ortho: Total knees, hips, shoulder replacements
- Medical: COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, pneumonia
- Others: Oncology, fractures, dementia, substance abuse
💉 Skills Required:
- IV therapy, wound care, post-op care
- Drips: Heparin, IV antibiotics, antithrombotics, narcotics (no titration required)
📋 Requirements:
- Active RN License
- BLS required
- Must pass open-book exam (90% required) during orientation
- Driver’s license required at submission
- No artificial nails (strict policy)
⏰ Schedule:
- Shifts: Nights (6:30p–7a)
- Weekend: Every 3rd weekend (Fri–Sat for nights)
Floating: PCU & Behavioral Health (McDermott)
