Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Warren, MN
Duration: 13 Weeks | Shift: Night (3×12 hrs, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Overview

• Provide emergency care in a low-volume rural ER setting
• Manage adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients across a wide range of conditions
• Work in a small critical-access facility with high autonomy
• Float between Emergency Department and Med-Surg unit as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with emergency conditions
• Manage 1:4 patient ratio (low daily census: ~1–3 patients/day)
• Perform rapid assessment and emergency interventions
• Administer emergency medications and IV therapies
• Interpret EKGs and cardiac rhythms
• Assist with intubation, ventilator management, and respiratory support
• Provide care for trauma, medical, and psychiatric emergencies
• Perform splinting, wound care, and orthopedic support
• Recognize and manage multi-system organ dysfunction and critical cases
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of ER experience (5 years preferred)
• Travel experience required
• Active Minnesota RN License (required at submission)
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS (required)
• Must be comfortable with:
  • Floating between ER and Med-Surg
  • Working in a low-resource, independent environment
