💼 Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced PACU RN to join a fast-paced recovery unit at a leading acute care hospital. You’ll care for patients post-anesthesia, ensuring safe recovery and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

📋 Responsibilities

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia (Phase I PACU)
• Manage airway, pain control, and vital signs
• Administer medications including emergency drugs and IV therapies
• Provide discharge education and post-op care instructions
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
• Document in Epic EMR 

📅 Call & Schedule Details

• 4 shifts/week (10 hours each)
• 1 late shift per week required (stay until last case is recovered)
• On-call:
  • 1 night/week
  • 1 weekend every 6 weeks 

✅ Requirements

• 2+ years of PACU or relevant acute care experience
• Active SC or Compact RN License
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS 

• Epic experience required 

   

⭐ Preferred

• Critical care background
• Experience with ventilated patients & advanced monitoring 

🏥 Facility Details

• 304-bed acute care hospital
• PACU (Phase I Recovery)
• Daily census: 20–40 patients
• Strong interdisciplinary support

• Flu vaccine required (exemptions allowed)
• COVID vaccine not required
• Travelers may assist during hurricane season (June–November)
