Description

Provide direct RN care for adult Med/Surg–Telemetry patients (including stroke-certified population): assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care throughout the shift.
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns quickly to the provider/rapid response team.
Administer meds/IV therapy, manage common inpatient devices/equipment (IV pumps/PLUM, wound vacs as applicable), and perform blood glucose checks per protocol.
Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, prioritize patient safety (hourly rounding/fall precautions), and support patient/family education and discharge planning.
Document accurately and efficiently in Epic while maintaining compliance with unit policies and quality standards.
