Unit: 21-Bed Respiratory Med-Surg
Shift: 36 hours/week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required
Start Date: May 18, 2026 (mandatory unless returning traveler within past 9 months)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit specializing in pulmonary care. This high-acuity unit manages complex adult patients, including those requiring continuous telemetry monitoring.

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment with rapid patient turnover and varying levels of care needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac telemetry
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float as needed within scope to similar units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• Strong ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
  • (Telemetry competency test required on Day 1; failure results in immediate termination)
• Proficient in Epic EMR (mandatory; no training or refresher provided)
  • Epic proficiency must be clearly documented in submission

• Must be adaptable, efficient, and comfortable in a high-volume setting
