Position Overview

A major healthcare facility in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking an experienced Travel X‑Ray Technologist for a 13‑week day‑shift assignment starting 5/11. This role is ideal for a tech with strong diagnostic imaging skills, confidence with C‑arm and portable radiography, and the ability to adapt to a busy hospital environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of X‑Ray experience
• ARRT (R)
• BLS (AHA)
• Active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist License
  • Must be obtained prior to start date
• C‑arm and portable X‑ray experience required
• O‑arm experience preferred
• Experience with Philips, Siemens, and GE imaging equipment

Shift & Scheduling Details

• 5×8 Day Shifts, 7a–3:30p
• Every third weekend required
  • May be scheduled every other weekend depending on unit needs
• Full‑time hours guaranteed
• First‑time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted

Unit Description

• Work primarily within Diagnostic X‑Ray
• Support inpatient, outpatient, ED, and OR imaging as needed
• Operate C‑arm for surgical and procedural cases
• Perform portable radiography throughout the facility
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality diagnostic radiographic exams following established protocols
• Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image optimization
• Operate C‑arm and portable X‑ray units confidently
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure images are properly routed to PACS
• Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care
• Support a fast‑paced hospital environment with professionalism and adaptability
