Description
✅ Requirements – RN ICU/PCU (Stepdown/Telemetry Hybrid) | Norwich, CT
📌 Licensure
- Active RN License (Connecticut or Compact License) – Required
🧠 Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU experience – Required
- Experience in PCU (Progressive Care Unit) – Required
- Experience in dual-acuity units (ICU/PCU/Telemetry) – Strongly preferred
- Prior experience managing ICU overflow patients – Required
- Experience with:
- Stroke care (Primary Stroke Center preferred)
- Cardiac and respiratory cases
- High-acuity patient monitoring
📜 Certifications (Required)
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
💻 Technical Skills
- Epic EMR experience – Required
🩺 Clinical Skills
- Strong critical care and telemetry monitoring skills
- Ability to manage patients across acuity levels:
- ICU (1:2 ratio)
- PCU (1:3 ratio)
- Floor/Telemetry (1:5–6 ratio)
- Experience handling:
- Chest pain
- Stroke
- Respiratory failure
- Sepsis
- Ability to adapt quickly in a hybrid ICU/PCU environment
📅 Work Requirements
- Night Shift: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: As needed
