Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Job Description

Variable Shift.
For Evening shift opening: 5 x 8s. 06:30, 10:00, or 13:00. Mostly days but may be asked to cover evening from time to time. Rotating days of the week, every third weekend rotation.
For Day shift opening: Mostly 5 x 8s to cover the evening shift. There will be a need to cover the night shift due to vacations. During this time it would be 4 x 10s. This could be approximately for 6 weeks of the contract. Evening Shift start times would be 1300 or 1500. Night Shift would be 2100 to 0700.
No call
California CLS License required (generalist).
Preferably 3 years of previous experience.
Strong blood bank skills with gen and tube method.
Bachelors Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent: Required
Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of CA: Required
Current certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA): Preferred
