Medical Surgical/Telemetry 6/7 Lied - 6/7 Lied is a 20-bed general medical surgical and telemetry unit as well as ortho patients. Some of the patients you may care for on these units include Total Knee and Hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses.

This unit is split floors: 7th floor patients are M/S patients with underlying behavioral health conditions that may be flagged as violent (detox, dementia, etc). Floor is secured. Travelers are provided training for safety and de-escalation. Must be comfortable taking care of behavioral health patient population.

Ratios are 1:5 days/1:6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1:7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).

BLS required

ACLS, CPI preferred

2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)

Drips are required on all floors

EPIC charting experience required

First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)
