Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery)

Location: Corsicana, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 3 shifts per week (Sunday-Saturday)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units (Nursery experience preferred)
• Patient ratios vary by unit:

  • Labor: 1:1-2
  • Nursery: 1:6
  • Postpartum: 1:6
  • Mother-Baby couplets: 1:3
• Unit size: 14 beds
• Electronic Medical Record system used: Centricity
• Scrub color: Any solid colors or scrubs provided if necessary
• No call required
• No 48-hour option, no block scheduling, no floating
• Maximum requested time off (RTO): 36 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Postpartum nursing experience
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP certification
