- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
This unit is mixed acuity and will include intermediate care patients, as well as non-vented ICU level patients.
Certs Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Experience Required: 1 year. Experience with managing patients on bipap/cpap, cardiac rhythm interpretation, CVP monitoring, monitoring hemodynamic lines, post-surgical drains, trachs, chest tubes. Titratable drips including (but not limited to): Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Esmolol, Insulin, Cardene, Nitro, Levophed, and Epinephrine.
Patient Types:
Neurological and post procedural patients-Post TNK, Neuro IR procedures (Embolization’s, angiography) hemorrhages/aneurysms, burr holes, post VP shunt placements, post craniotomy/craniectomy, lumbar drains, spinal cord injuries, any non-vented neuro patients including EVDs, continuous EEG, & neuro/spine surgery.
Respiratory Failure, CHF, Hypotension, Sepsis, AMS, Acute Neurological Diagnosis, DKA, Electrolyte abnormality.
Patient Ratios: 1:3 based on acuity.
EMR: CERNER
Medication dispensing: Omnicell
IV pumps: Plum 360.

I have worked with this company for 3, along with a few others, and they have been great! They seem to be very appreciative of their staff and always sending appreciative gifts to you. I can’t say much now that they have joined TotalMed, but am looking forward to see what develops.
Cons
Rates are not always the best, would be nice to have a few more eastern and southern state options, like Mississippi or North Carolina cities
