Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Opportunity – Soldotna, Alaska
Direct Hire | Full-Time | Executive Leadership | Day Schedule
A community-focused, not-for-profit health system in Soldotna, Alaska is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for a permanent, executive leadership role. This position offers the opportunity to lead all clinical service lines, partner directly with the CEO, and shape the strategic direction of patient care delivery across the organization.
This role includes $25,000 in relocation assistance and participation in an executive-level incentive compensation plan with up to 20% bonus potential.
Position Overview
Executive-level, full-time role
Monday–Friday leadership schedule (8:00am–4:30pm)
Direct partnership with CEO and executive leadership team
Oversight of nursing, pharmacy, cardiopulmonary, laboratory, care coordination, infection prevention, and quality
EPIC electronic medical record system
Responsible for clinical strategy, operational performance, and patient care excellence

Executive leadership availability as needed
Compensation & Incentives
Base salary range: $130,000 – $180,000+ annually (flexible based on experience and scope)
Executive incentive bonus: up to 20% annually
Minimum $25,000 relocation assistance

Key Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership and oversight for all clinical service areas
Drive organizational strategy related to patient care, quality, and clinical operations
Partner with executive leadership to support financial performance and long-term growth
Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with state, federal, and accreditation standards
Lead quality improvement initiatives and establish measurable clinical outcomes
Develop and mentor nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams
Represent nursing and patient care at the executive and board level
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care
Requirements
Master’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting
Active or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska
BLS Certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire
Demonstrated executive leadership in clinical operations, quality, and team development
Strong business, financial, and strategic planning acumen
