Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Henderson, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit and Facility Overview
- Trauma Level: Medical Surgical
- Number of Beds: 48
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Paragon
- Patient Population: Adult medical-surgical patients
- Shift Hours: 36 hours per week (weekly guaranteed)
- Weekend Hours: As needed
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Rare; may occasionally float to inpatient rehab or emergency room
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working with a 1:6 patient ratio
Skills and Experience
- Ability to start IVs, insert Foley catheters, and insert NG tubes
- Experience performing EKGs and managing heparin drips
- Preferred experience with a 1:6 patient ratio and high patient turnover

- Orientation dates available throughout the year
This position offers the opportunity to work in a Joint Commission accredited facility with a large, advanced ICU and PCU, and a highly rated hospital safety environment.
