Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Occupational Therapist – OT in Astoria, OR.
 
PediaStaff is a trusted leader in pediatric therapy and educational staffing solutions, connecting passionate professionals with rewarding school-based and clinic opportunities since 2004. We're currently seeking dedicated Part-time (.4FTE- 2 days a week), in-person, Occupational Therapist ($53-$56/hour) in a school setting to support students in transition ages with higher needs in the Astoria, OR area for the upcoming 26-27 school year.

Qualifications: 

• Current OT State License
• Must have pediatric experience
• School-based experience preferred
• Part-Time, 2 days per week
• $53-$56 Per Hour

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
• Primarily consultative caseloads which means that this is not a setting where students are pulled out for therapy; rather the bulk of the work is push-in services in classrooms and consultation with teachers and case managers
