Description

Pride Health is hiring Medical Laboratory Scientist - Traveler to support our client’s medical facility based in Indianapolis IN 46256
. This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title : Medical Laboratory Scientist - Traveler
Location: Indianapolis IN 46256
Duration: 8 months+
Shift: Night shift 10pm-6:30Am Monday to Friday with rotating weekends and Holidays. 
Pay rate : $2200-$2451 per week

Blood Bank Experience Required
*Pay rate is strictly based on years of experience and educational qualifications.

 

###  **Key Responsibilities**

* Perform specimen handling, processing, and analysis following established laboratory procedures
* Analyze and test samples using approved SOPs
* Review, validate, and release accurate test results
* Maintain compliance with quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols
* Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA) and safety guidelines
* Identify and troubleshoot testing issues; implement corrective actions when needed
* Maintain proper documentation of all lab activities, calibrations, and maintenance
* Handle STAT and critical result reporting efficiently
* Support inspections, audits, and training initiatives
* Maintain lab organization, reagent tracking, and overall department standards

###  **Qualifications**

* **Education:**

 * BS in Medical Technology (preferred) OR
 * BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology OR
 * Associate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology
* Eligible for or holding certification (ASCP / AMT preferred)
* Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, QC/QA, and multiple lab disciplines
* Proficiency in computer systems and laboratory software

* Minimum **1 year of clinical laboratory experience** (high-complexity testing preferred)
* **Blood Bank experience is required**
