Description

Histotechnologist | estimated $2,800/week | (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) 40 hours/week
JOB DETAILS:
Location: Watertown, NY 13601
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5:30 AM start: Ends at 2:00 PM or 6:00 AM start: Ends at 2:30 PM
40 hours/week

REQUIREMENTS
100 miles radius rule from perm address EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry
OR
HTL certification from a recognized agency

LICENSE:

NY State Histotechnician AAS license required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process, embed, cut, and stain surgical and autopsy tissue
Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens for pathologist review
Prepare microscopic slides for diagnosis
Manage patient tissue properly with documentation
Maintain lab supplies and equipment
Perform specialized histology techniques
Participate in Quality Assurance program
