Department: Radiology - U/S -SCG General Certification Requirements (BLS) BLS Certs/ARDMS (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) ARDMS or RVS through CCI RDMS is Medical Sonography RDCS is Cardiac Sonography RVT is Vascular Technology How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 4 Will they have to float/cover any other areas? no Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties All ultrasound to include vascular, OB (all three trimesters) and procedures. Echo would be great, but not required. Experience or 'Must have' skills All general ultrasound, OB and vascular Average # of scans/studies per day 10-15 depending on the hours worked EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EPIC RIS, Fuji PACS Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens) 4 Toshiba ultrasound units (purchasing 2 new Phillips with an unknown ETA) Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Rick McManemon, Alex Argueta Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? no Radiologist in-house? three days per week Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) no Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
