Description
📌 Required Experience & Credentials
Mandatory:
- Minimum 2 years ER experience
- Must include Level I or II trauma experience within last 2–3 years
- Epic EMR experience within last 2 years
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
Facility Overview (Foothills ED – extension of Onvida Main Campus)
- Level: Level II Trauma (receives STEMI & Stroke; transfers out for stroke intervention)
- Volume: ~300 patients/day (very high acuity/throughput ED)
- Beds: 20 ED beds + 2 trauma bays + 6 fast track beds
- Fast Track: Yes (1:6 ratio)
- Triage: ESI-based quick-look areas
- Psych: No seclusion rooms
- Security: 24/7 in ED lobby area
👩⚕️ Staffing & Ratios
- Medical: 1:5
- UCY: 1:2–3
- Fast Track: 1:6
- Charge RN: None (House Supervisor assists)
- ED Techs present (experienced + entry-level mix)
- RT: 24/7 assigned
- Monitor tech present, but RN reads own telemetry
⚕️ Patient Acuity / Clinical Expectations
- “Any and all emergencies” (very broad scope)
- Trauma experience required (GSW/stabbing experience is a plus)
- ICU drips for boarded patients (ICU support available)
- CT/X-ray in department; RN may accompany critical patients
- ED handles high acuity + fast turnover environment
Preferred:
- TNCC
⚠️ Hard filter: Level III or lower trauma-only experience is NOT accepted.
⏰ Scheduling / Commitment
- Start: 5/18 (3p–3a)
- No flexibility on start date
- No 48-hour guarantee
- No blocked scheduling requests
- Max 5 days RTO
- Self-scheduling with varied shifts (7a–3a start range)
- 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
- 2 of 5 holidays required (including eves)
🚗 Floating / Location
- Shared staffing with main Onvida campus
- ~15 min drive between sites
- Floating is planned, not usually last-minute
- 100-mile radius rule applies
👕 Orientation / Onboarding
- 1 NEO (orientation)
- 1 Epic + clinical day
- 1 floor shift
