Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide post-anesthesia care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in Phase I and Phase II recovery and be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with floating requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide post-operative care to patients in Phase I & Phase II PACU
Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia
Manage pain control, airway support, and vital signs
Administer medications and IV therapy as required
Collaborate with surgical and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Float to other units as needed based on facility requirements

Requirements: Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience in an acute care setting Active RN license (Illinois or compact not accepted if not active IL) Certifications Required: BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS Must be willing to float (mandatory float facility) Must be located within 75 miles (locals preferred)
