Shift: Day Shift
Shift Length: 8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Duration: 13 weeks
 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience providing respiratory care across a diverse patient population. This role involves delivering high-quality respiratory therapy treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RRT will play a key role in supporting patient care, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, and ventilator management.
• Monitor and assess patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC and follow hospital protocols.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and critical care support
• Experience with ventilators and respiratory care equipment
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Proficiency in EPIC or similar Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Valid State License (NY)
• BLS Certification (AHA)
