Description

Must live outside a 50-mile radius (verified via driver’s license)
Driver’s license (unexpired) required at submission
Previous permanent employees must be inactive for 2 years
Previous travelers (≥1 year assignment) must be inactive for 2 years
Travel teams must be submitted together in one email
Maximum 2 candidates per opening
All background issues must be disclosed at submission

Total Units: 2
- 2nd Floor: 20 beds (all private)
- 6th Floor: 22 beds (mixed private/semi-private)
Current acuity: Telemetry level (both floors)
Future plan:
- 2nd floor transitioning to Stepdown (higher acuity)
  
  Patient Ratios
- 1:5 (Days & Nights)
- Common Diagnoses / Patient Types
- Elevated troponin
- NSTEMI / Post-STEMI (after ICU recovery)
- Active chest pain
- Pre/Post cardiac catheterization
- Pacemaker patients
- Peritoneal dialysis (training provided)
- Occasional post-surgical (ortho/cardiac)
- Oncology overflow patients

- BLS
- ACLS
- First-time travelers accepted
- Clinical Responsibilities
- Telemetry monitoring (strip reading every 4 hours & documentation)
- Drips (set-rate):
  - Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetalol
  - Dopamine, Dobutamine
  - Heparin, Integrilin, Nitroglycerin
    
    Equipment & Support
  - Telemetry System: Philips monitors
  - Respiratory Support: BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow (managed by RT)
  - EMR: EPIC
  - RT, Pharmacy, Hospitalist: Available 24/7
  - IV Team: Not available
    
    Scheduling
  - Shifts: 12-hour (07:00–19:30 / 19:00–07:30)
  - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  - Holiday Requirement: As needed (limited when possible)
  - Scheduling System: Kronos
  - Block scheduling allowed (if specified in contract)
    
    Floating
  - Rare
  - May float to:
    - ICU (overflow Tele)
    - Ortho/Med-Surg
  - Orientation
  - 1–2 shifts depending on experience
