Job Title: Medical Technologist (MLT / MLS)
Location: Indiana (Multiple Locations – Indianapolis, Bloomington, Bedford, Portland)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 Months)
Start Date: ASAP

Overview

We are seeking a Medical Technologist (MLT/MLS) to join a hospital laboratory team supporting patient diagnostics and care. This role involves performing laboratory testing on patient specimens and ensuring accurate, timely results in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on blood, urine, and other patient specimens
• Work across core lab areas including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and blood bank
• Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
• Ensure accuracy through quality control and adherence to protocols
• Enter and verify results in laboratory information systems (LIS)
• Troubleshoot equipment and assist with routine maintenance
• Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field OR Associate degree in MLT
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience preferred (clinical lab strongly preferred)
• Certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) preferred or eligible
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, QC, and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
