Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / Med Surg
Location: Albany, GA 31701
Schedule: Days & Nights Available | 12-Hour Shifts
Hours/Week: 36 or 48 Hours (Both Options Available)
Additional Openings: Med/Surg & Observation Unit – Days & Nights | 36 & 48 Hours Available
Position Type: Travel (radius rule 75 miles)
*For oncology, a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience is required.*
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Oncology/Medical Surgical unit in an acute care setting. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with oncology and medical conditions while working in a collaborative and fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to oncology and medical-surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient conditions, including those with hematologic and oncologic disorders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using MEDITECH EMR
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state license required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology or medical-surgical nursing
- AHA - BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required or preferred
- COVID Card
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification (for chemotherapy administration)
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred (no first-time travelers)
- Experience working with MEDITECH EMR
