RN – MedSurg / Telemetry
Facility: NH Medical Center Main
- Unit: Nursing – Float Pool
- Job Type: Travel Contract – Night Shift
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Requirements
- License: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Required)
- ACLS (Preferred – must pass EKG competency exam during onboarding)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years MedSurg/Telemetry experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- EMR: EPIC (6 months required)

- Unit Type: All MedSurg / Telemetry Units
- Beds per Unit: 20–36
- Patient Ratios:
- RN: 1:4–6
- LPN: 1:4–6
- CNA: up to 1:14
Patient Population
- Acute & Chronic Conditions
- Diabetes, Hypertension, Infections, Electrolyte Imbalances
- Cardiac: CHF, A-fib, Post-Cath
- Post-Surgical: General, Ortho, Trauma
Required Skills
- Telemetry Monitoring & Rhythm Interpretation
- Post-Cath Care (TR bands, groin site management)
- Drips: Insulin, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Milrinone, Digoxin, Nicardipine
- Trach Care & Chest Tubes
- IV Starts & Maintenance
- Glucommander
- Strong Assessment & Time Management
- Discharge Planning & Patient Education
Support Staff
- CNA Support (Vitals, ADLs, safety)
- Unit Secretary (7A–11P, then centralized)
- Charge Nurse (may take patients)
- PICC Team (no IV team)
- Resource & Discharge Nurses
- RT / Hospitalist / Intensivist (24/7)
- Central Telemetry Monitoring

- Weekend Requirement:
- 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

- All MedSurg/Tele units
