Facility Overview

• Location: Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center
• 120 licensed beds
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Level II NICU
• Primary Stroke Center

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Credentials: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; NRP preferred
• RRT preferred, but CRT accepted

Unit & Coverage

• Coverage across:
  • ICU/Stepdown (combined)
  • ED (very busy, high pediatric population)
  • Med-Surg units
  • Cardiac unit (no open heart)
  • Behavioral Health unit
• 2–5 vents daily (ED + ICU)
• Floating required throughout hospital

Patient Population

• COVID, COPD, ARDS
• Pneumonia, Influenza, RSV
• CHF, Lung Cancer
• Stroke patients
• ETOH detox & overdose cases
• Trach patients (including ventilated)
• Pediatrics (mostly stabilized and transferred out)

Core Skills Required

• ABG punctures
• Airway & ventilator management
• High-flow oxygen therapy (Airvo, Hamilton C1)
• MDI & nebulizer treatments
• Code blue response
• EKGs (high volume – up to 10 per shift)

Peds/NICU experience preferred; required only if floating there (NRP needed).

Staffing & Support

• Nights: 2 RTs
• Days: 3 RTs
• Charge RT every shift
• RT Educator available
• Manager onsite during day

Equipment & EMR

• EMR: Epic Systems
• Ventilators: Hamilton C1, Servo-U
• High-flow: Airvo

Schedule Details

• Shift options: 5AM–5PM or 5PM–5AM (12-hour shifts)
• Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend
• No on-call
• Holidays: 1 summer + 1 winter
• Schedule released 3 weeks in advance (8-week cycle)
• RTO: Up to 7 days allowed

Orientation

• 2–3 days up to 1 week depending on experience
