Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Corsicana, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care for Labor and Delivery patients. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
  • Demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care
  • Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education
  • Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
  • Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
