Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location: Key West, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases for Labor and Delivery patients.
Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Flexible to float to other units as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Florida
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with Maternal-Fetal, Neonate, and Infant patients
Experience in LDRP (Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum) and Nursery care
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Minimum 2 years of prior travel nursing experience

Additional Information

Housing within 50 miles of the facility must be secured prior to acceptance, and address provided.
The position requires night shifts and a 36-hour workweek.
